Looks like it has been eaten away. It can be fin rot but it does not seem white or red. Is it only the one fin?

I have seen serponver Plus / Superverm Anti-Fluke treatment do that - If you overdose on it.

Sorry, to say but this is fin rot in its early stage!

The infected “parts” could be cut away. This should be done with a sharp sterilized pair of scissors, sedate the fish before doing this. The fin should be cut away behind the damage or area of redness.

Once completed, a suitable topical treatment should be applied to the newly exposed fin to help prevent reinfection.

If you are going to cut through the fin DO NOT cut through the leading ray!

Also you could PP dip the fish and that would also work.... if you do it properly! If you do not you will kill the fish!

Alternatively if you are too scared you could sedate the fish and with diluted PP swab the fin properly on both sides of the fin.
