I have had my koi for 15 years and have had very little problems. Yesterday I immediately noticed 2 open sores on my white koi - the past 2 weeks I saw their coulour change to a slight pink and wondered what may be the problem but could not find anything on Google for "pink koi disease". Well, it was the start of the "open sore"-disease. It is a large pond with 15000 l water and about 20 other fish.
I am going to try the water change and adding of salt. Do you think I must catch the sick fish and clean the sores? I would really feel more comfortable if I can get some-one who is knowledgable to help....Please let me know if you can recommend anyone in Johannesburg / Gauteng area to have a look at my koi pond.
