| When is the best time of year to done a major clean on your biofilter? |

| I believe the beginning of winter is the best time to clean to thoughly clean filters and media. In winter time the load of the system is very light and it is better to start spring and summer with clean systems. But that said it also depends on the setup of each system. |

| Thanks Wayne, we have a porta pool with veg bags and plants in it but Chris suggested some changes last in spring which we want to do, so a big clean will be part of the process. Also run two sand filters. |

| Hi,
Sand filters must be cleaned ( turnover) once a month, apart from back washing it.
I usually clean my bio-filters end of August. |
