We are still stuck on the old ways of judging. Were these picture perfect I doubt that they would have been going for the price they did. Some have windows, some have hi in the dorsal and most have no tailstop in nthe pattern. We have to go by the quality and potencial we see before us. I'll e-mail Bobby a pic of the one I'll be entering just for fun on the side out of the same batch. Of the 4 I received one has allready (biggest) started to loose some hi!

Today only 7 days later we have all the Koi Sold, and may I add payed for, the draw on Wednesday, shipping on Sunday, and to date on page 10 and 1800 views.

Not bad I would say considering the shimmies, Hi in the fins, fading, possible from Sanke Spawning and all the other 1010 demerits.

These Tomahawk Tossai, Sakai Kohaku's is going to be talked about positively or negatively for some time to come, and I am sure Koi will be the winner.

Have the QFacilities almost ready......just need to move some fish out, and see if I can't find number 6 a companion....otherwise 2500l might be lonely!

My QT is up and running, Im preparing the water for my new arrival later today.

He/She/it will come out of QT on 26 March 2010. At only 18cm and the smallest of the lot ill have to give him a few protein shakes.

I have also already named my kohaku, Shimee. (a name i made up from the word shimi, refering to the beauty spot that my kohakus has).

Happy with my number 8. QT ready but still need to add salt on weekend. Will have new baby in QT with 4 small koi and 3 large koi. QT been running 3 moths now with 4small koi

Think yes need a name.....my Qfacilities been up and running forever...have had some small koi in there since November, will drop water tomorrow to catch move and then fill up for new arival, will need to add some salt too.........

Adi, should your new Koi means new purchase.
In my view its best to add companion from existing stock with new arrivals, better the devil you know than the one you don't.
