Can someone tell me if it is a good idea to tile the complete pond or not?

I have seen a pond outside Bloem with black tiles with grey spots. About 6m x 3m by 2.5m deep. Looks lovely

Shouldnt be a problem as long as the grouting is done properly with waterproof cement and it is smooth with no sharp points etc
