Turn over of water for complete loss system ??? Empty
PostSubject: Turn over of water for complete loss system ???   Turn over of water for complete loss system ??? EmptySun Jan 13, 2013 5:10 pm

I have made a pud pond in the "klein lankloof" near Noll where my parents live.

They get water from pretty high in the mountains with a small pipe line. Between 2200 and 2500 litres per hour.

This water now goes into my pond and then from a bottom drain to a big gravel dam for irrigation.

No filter or pump, just continous water replacement.

The BIG question: with this flow available how big can i go ???

Current pond is about 5000 liter and will be made bigger with every chance i get. only have 3 small koi in for starters.

Frogs already love the protection from birds and there is a couple in and around the pond.

Hi boet
Welcome to the forum Very Happy If its a mud pond you can go much bigger. Try and get a air pump to, your pond will love it. Very Happy

Thanks for the reply.

Currently there is no power at the pond.

Plan to do a lot of work on the pond during easter when i visit my parents again.

Airpump and light will be first on the list.
