Hi, looking to buy these 2 showa's from Dream koi. They have been reserved for me, just want to know your opinion, out of what was available I liked these 2 the most.

Let me know your opinion....both from Ogata, and for this size and that price I think it's a bargain.......the 2nd showa is a bit front heavy, but like I said, not much to choose from and they're still pretty good to my eye.

For showing:
On showa and sanke you should first look for a good kohaku pattern - I don't see that on them so they won't do well at a show.

For the Pond and your enjoyment:
nr 1 seems to have very good shiro and the sumi will still surprise you. The head is a bit yellow right now but it will clear. The hi looks a bit to red at this stage with very little sashi so there is a risk.

nr 2 has a lot of elements that I like and the hi patch toward the tail but just save the pattern if the sumi does not cover it. The sumi type is slow finishing and it will keep you on the edge of your seat for a while. - I like it best out of the two for the future.

Think I'll just go with No2.....Have a kindai in my pond already. Then also have a normal like the one I posted on your thread, just missing one which has sumi, shiro and beni on the face, and that is why I like this one.

Good choice, I also wanted to say something, but then saw that Ernst has posted and said everything there is to be said.

What a pleasure to have posters like that on this forum, dankie Ernst. Ek moet jou saam vat as ek my showa gaan soek.

I like the top one the most but feel that they are a bit unbalanced. Too much hi in the front and too much sumi in the back.

I like the sumi in the pectroral fins on the top one.

The sumi in the 2nd one is a very long term fish 4-6yrs is my guess. I have a Hi showa with sumi like that, its now 4 yrs old and the sumi is not up yet....sometimes i feel like selling it but then again my curiosity keeps my from doing that.

What happened with these two? Any updates? Looks like it's been a couple of years now.

I suspect Cliff sold them by now...He is much more demanding on quality now...
