| Chris, when I saw all your fish I suspected that perhaps too many fish in a small pond. They have short stout bodies which is reminiscent of that.
They will not grow much bigger than what they are now.
What are the specs of your pond, any pics??....cannot remember seeing a pond post of yours |

| My first pond was only around 1000 litres, then that sprung a leak, so I put them in a small porta pool as a temporary home, lol then they ended up staying in that for around a year, till my dog punctured it, them I put them in a bigger porta pool that's around 5000 liters and they have been in there for a year now. I'm finally busy building a decent pond, I'm hoping to have it done within the next 3 months, I'm building it myself over weekends. My new pond will be 5mx3mx1.7m deep. So far iv done the floor and 2 courses of blocks.

In my experience, if the growth rate was suppressed the first year, they can still catch up. However, if it was suppressed for more than that, they never catch up and stay relatively small. |

| I'm going to probably end up replacing most of my koi with japanese imports once my pond is done, my pond will be around 25000 liters and I want to cut down to about 10 koi, no more than 15. |
