Dipterex: (Masoten or Trichlorfon)

This is an insecticide (Organophosphorous) normally used for caterpillars and marketed by Bayer as such.

Very effective cheap treatment for Anchorworm and Fish Louse but also for Gill maggots, Gill fluke, Ich, Trichodenia, insects and all types of worms and other parasites and also used to disinfect new plants.

Can be dangerous if used in water above 20 degree Celsius . In water above 25 degrees Celsius, use a half dosage.

Can cause spinal injury if you overdose.

Dosage: 10 g / 10 000 litres (0.25 mg of the active ingredient being Trichlorfon, 0.50 mg in water above 27 degree Celsius)

Ek dink Nerens dit is van die mark af geneem al n tydjie gelede.

Maar Dimmelin doen dieselfde werk en is oral beskikbaar, as jy nie kry PM my gerus.

Ek het baie Dipterex maar dit is nou onwettig om enige Dipterex te verkoop. Dit is van die mark afgehaal drie jaar gelede en enige Dipterex wat jy nou kan koop is verby hul vervaldatum en gevaarlik om te gebruik, want dit verander in giftige Trichlorfos mettertyd.

Dimmilin is 'n baie beter veiliger opsie vir anker wurm en visluis. Ek het baie beskikbaar en verkoop dit op bidorbuy.

I have also seen people in the USA using melathion...If I am not mistaken it is an organophosphate, and also an insecticide...
They also use it for the same things!

It is still an organophosphate and "poison" Why using organophosphate if Dimilin is so much safer, forgiving if you overdose, and 100% effective.

Melathion is fairly cheap and therefore are being used by people with a very large water volume. Dimilin however is also fairly cheap. Christo has just bough 1.5kg from me, enough to treat his 500 000 liter dam three times, and he did not pay an arm and a leg. I also use it on the farm to sort out the fleas on my dogs, flies and mosquitos, apart from fish lice and anchor worm. Same active ingredient as Program for dogs, at a fraction of the price.

The only reason I can do it, is if I can not find anything else...As U know I get everything from SA, and try to stock it before I need it...so in case of emergency it is good to know other options.
But in case I dont use it, I can use it for mosquitoes...so it will not go to waste if I stock it too...
I will buy some when I come...
