| Tony also started a Sakai grow and show and offered 30 Jumbo Tosai at the Johannesburg show, 30 at the Cape Town show and is going to offer 30 at the Durban show. R 1250 a piece and the winner gets a plane ticket to Japan. Tickets were drawn to establish the sequence of selection. My draw was very poor (11, 18, 25), and I picked these three Tosai (one for my son) What is your opinion on them and is the last one Sanke or Showa in your opinion? Kohaku, 30 cm Showa, 36 cm (wow, 36 and still Tosai) Showa / Sanke 34 cm |

| Hi Paul, Hoe gaan dit jong,
Hoor hier dit is darem drie mooi visse veral as jy jou draw no's in ag neem
Ek dink die Kohaku is n stunning vis man.

Ek sien dit as 'n eksperiment.

| Kohaku lyk goed, maar kan mannetjie wees. Showa 1 beslis mannetjie, goeie teelvis dink ek.

36cm in minder as 'n jaar. |

It becomes increasingly difficult to distinquish between Kindai Showa and Sanke, as a lot of Showa breeders currently introduce Sankes to increase the quality of the Sumi, and it creates a lot of headaches for benchers. See for instance a discussion of one of Ernst Van Dyk's Tancho's (which I think I brought in from Hiroi) on Koi Bito. http://www.koi-bito.com/forum/main-forum/11175-sanke-showa-2.html |

| 3rd one will most likely be classed as showa at our local shows. 1. Sumi seems to be wrapping. 2. Sumi already showing on head. 3. Sumi on the gillplate 4. Mutoguru & Akaguru in pectroral fins. It might seem like sanke now but in a years time when that sumi comes out on the head and the sumi starts to wrap the body better there will be no doubt. I think if i had to pick one to go home with ill take the 3rd one. Die Tancho hier bo is nou nie my "cup of tea" nie maar ek sal hom as Tancho Showa klas. Die swart op hom is baie "messy" |
