Sal ons hierdie jaar 'n bietjie vroeer begin met die temps? My vissies se hulle kry baie koud en le styf langs mekaar op die bodem.

My feedings have been scaled down to 5 feeding's of 35g per day from today. 8am, 10am, 12pm, 4pm, 6pm. I have also changed the timer on my air diffuser. I dont like to disturb my kois too much when it gets cold as they lay on the pond floor so i turn the diffuser off at night. The timer is set to run from 7am-7pm with a 10min break every 2 hours. I do switch the diffuser on at 12am and 4am for 10min just to circulate the water to prevent temperature layers forming in the pond.

Something i also do every year is to go and change how the water circulate at night. Because the nights are colder i push more of the water back into the pond via underwater returns, none of my surface returns are stopped they are just slowed down. The water fall runs much much slower. I do this to not cool the water too much during the night. This is a internal fight i have with myself every year...i dont want to loose to much of the warm water as i want growth but on the other hand kois are suppose to have a cold season...As i said its a fight i have with myself every year....Its a funny feeling.

Scaled town to 2 feedings two weeks ago. Feeding 2 feedings of 30g each. Feeding at 10am and 4pm

12 grade konstant vir die week hier in die pond

Looks like the earth warming thing is true.

My pond is sitting at 11. My fish is very hungry and just wants food, shame.

I feed 25% of normal.

Christo came to get his fish from me on Sunday, ichecked the water temp as i was getting ready for him ast 13h00 it was 15.

16 today,

the evening early morning low cant be too bad as fish are cruising actively,

I am also still feeding, and fish are asking for more.

yet the wife and my old man say it is the coldest winter in a loooooong time.

Wow, ek is so bly ek bly nie daar by julle nie.
My groot dam was die jaar die koudste in 6 jaar en dit was 8c.
Moet sê die dam is 2.6m diep so dit help.

My koudste dam was vanoggend 13*C, maar ek dink more sal dit kouer wees.
Miskien help die pergolas teen die uitstraling

My minimum was al so 8 grade. Dit sluit QT in wat meeste van die tye half graad laer is

Eina, dis * koud vanoggend. Dink dis die koudste wat dit nog ooit was hir in die afgelope 5 jaar wat ek hier bly. Daar is tot ys wat op my grasperk le. Baie ongewoon.

Hier by ons is dit ook vrek koud, het gelukkig nie n termometer in die huis anders sal ek nie opstaan in die oggend.

Hier is my temperature:

Qd 6 000lt = 13*C (Dam het sout in)
10 000lt = 11*C
40 000lt = 13*C
55 500lt = 14*C

Die 11*C vandag is een graad kouer as die koutste lesing in 2009 van 12*C

net vir intresantheid vandat ek die sout in het lyk dit of die water se temp nie so gou drop en meer stabiel is kan dit waar wees dat sout `n invloed op die temp kan speel

Verlede week het my 2 damme se temp gewissel tussen 12* en 13*

Van Dinsdag af is hulle 10* in oggend en styg nie veel deur die dag nie. Dink dit is alles die Kaap manne se skuld

Dink die winter is verby hier by ons in die kaap. Ja daar was so 2-3 dae van kou snaps weer gewees die laaste week maar my dam is happy hier by 16'C-17'C op die oomblik.

Sjoe ek hoop jy is reg Wayne, dinge lyk darem vandag ook beter hier.

My water is 13 grade met die bakki shower aan die gang nou vir 2 weke.

My koudste dam was vanoggend 13*C, maar ek dink more sal dit kouer wees.
