Hi Marius a pic of the 10" pre-filter cartridges on my 10,000lt pond direct from the municipal tap with gardenia fittings. To refill pond after water change all the water ex tap to pond goes via these sediment pre-filter and carbon cartridges. The refills was replaced about 6 months back. The water flow is slow due to the 15mm garden hose and take forever. The water enters the pond via settlement chamber and the via filters to pond. You can add a toilet valve in settlement chamber for auto refill. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]You can see how dirty that are from direct Municipal water. On my new pond I will installing 20" cartridges and a pleated sediment pre-filter that can be hosed down to extend the live span of the cartridge.
Ek skat die 20' filters gaan hoer druk nodig he as die 10' filters. |

I will have to exercise patience at water change times (22mm) hence the auto refill, which by the way can now only be installed in January due to early I need to pat myself on the back, tomorrow will be day 21 for the plaster to cure. |

| The final bit of cladding going on the filter entrance today. The tiller is known to be the “Kaalvoet” tiller of Malmesbury. The man says shoes are only an unnecessary accessory. | Bobby what needs a transformer? Does the purifucation system use a pump or something? How does it work? How does it know when to open the water line?
Het jy dit dam in twee kleure geverf? |

| Hi Wayne In the far right corner is a 63mm pipe with an electrical float switch on top and the float hanging in the pipe to measure water level, on the left hand side you will see a solenoid switch that will open and close the water when required. One can also turn the operation off at the solenoid when Eg cleaning filter equipment. |

| Hi Angryant The supplier said that it might de-laminate over time, meaning years. They recommended that I cover it with a specific silicone. I am looking to cover the top with a strip next year once I find a supplier. Any suggestions where to look will be welcome! |
