Hi camO
I am eager to connect these babies. 90mm for the Pods & 110mm for the Nexus. They are both going to be on top of a 63mm purge valve, to purge the 110 BD pipe, whilst the K1 is cooking, therefore less solids via filters. Amper net so groot soos oom Pieter se SF

Hi Tobie, welkom by die forum

Hi Bobby

Your are moving towards the finish line, and I must say, job well done so far.

I think that a lot of hobbyists learned quite a lot from this project, as it has been approached and done very professional so far, and I am confident that you will soon reap the fruits of your labour with a big smile.

Everybody is watching the space with anticipation, and within 65 days, your topic became one the most popular topics on the forum. With 3369 views, that is an average of 51 views per day.

I am curious and I am sure a lot of other viewers are curious about the expenses on a project like this.

Would it be possible to give us a breakdown of your budget versus your actual expenses up to date and an update as you go along? That would be great.

Hi Paul
It’s good to hear from you
I started off week one and two to record expenses, after that I only filed the invoices and concentrated on the build. Maybe one day I will have the courage to add them up. The actual expense could be perceived negative by some koi enthusiast. The pond was really build to spoil myself and I only hope that once the water is in that the filters will be working as planned the past year, after all the pond was designed for a LG. You can only imagine what the SF man will have to say if not successful. Maybe we can convert the SF man. bounce study

The other consideration one must give to the cost structure is the extra build required due to my location next to street and municipal regulations, I can tell you that just the cladding and extras to cover walls will be in excess of R 35 000

It was planned to be a 25 000lt pond and to my surprise with all the changes made whilst digging it now looks to be more towards 30 000lt plus.

LG,

Convert.........................Nooit!

Listen, and listen well, I am only going to say this once!

A sand filter is the only filter to make your water crystal clear, and the best is, it costs cheaper then any other (so called) state of the art filters.

Can you blame me for trying? Die man is rotsvas, nou ja ek moet toegee SF het jare ondervinding, so ek weet ek speel op gevaarlikke grond, tyd sal leer of die stelsel vir die LG ook gaan werk? pale
