HI ALL
I HAD THE SAME KIND OF BOIL ON A KOI EARLY THIS YEAR IN THE WINTER. ( CARP POX ? ) NOW IN SUMMER WITH THE WATER WARMED UP I HAVE ANOTHER KOI WITH THE SAME MARK/RED BOIL WHAT CAN I DO TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS. ??

David,
That looks like Papilloma, it is the same viral infection as Carp Pox.
Papillima may reveal itself by the appearance of tumors with a reddish or pink appearance.
These may need to be remove surgically.

I have used ligther gas in the past to freeze the "tumor-like" area to "kill" it.
There is no cure for this, but it could go away as the water temereture increase.

David,

There is no cure, even if it is surgically removed, chances are, however, that the lesions reappear after some time.
Susceptibility to the disease is determined genetically.
In order to control the disease, it is to be advised to increase the immunity of the host. This can be done by raising the water temperature above 20*C and/or by adding vitamin C or immunostimulants to the water or food.
It is a relatively harmless disease and does not pose a major threat to your Koi.

IF IT IS NOT HARMLESS TO THE KOI THEN ALL IS OK . IT'S JUST NOT NICE TO SEE ON YOU KOI. LETS SEE WHEN IT GETS REALY HOT THIS SUMMER AND STOPS RAINING.
