Koi Tale Empty
PostSubject: Koi Tale   Koi Tale EmptyTue Nov 24, 2009 4:22 pm

Hi Members,

One of my fish swam over my rim flow.
We found him when we went to feed this morning.
Fortunately he was still alive.

In the process of trying to catch him his tale was damaged.

1) Do they grow back?
2) Does he need treatment?
3) Is Euthanasia required?

We are now installing a 17m x 200mm x 6ml perspex off set barrier.

Thanks
Anton

I had one that landed in my pool filter basket a year ago- both lateral fins damaged, but it grew back. Not a nice fish though! ( my wife loves the fish!)

Morning Anton

You seem to have some bad luck, Should you be able to post a picture the experts on this forum will be able to give you more specific advise.

I will be in your area today but my time schedule won't permit a visit, I will visit as soon as I get my pond sorted.

Hi Anton, if you can take any pics, it will help a lot.

It would be a good idea to put Friars balsam on the wound to prevent infection and to repeat at least for a few days.
