Hi Gakes

I have moved your post from equipment to koi health.

Could you please post under the correct heading. I had to move almost all your previous posts to the correct category.

Cloudy eyes can be caused by parasites, bacterial infection, fungus or physical injury, but normally it indicates a gram negative bacterial infection which often requires anti-biotics, although a fluke infestation sometimes also causes claudy eyes.

I would check for parasites immediately. If there are none, I will treat for a bacterial infection (Potassium and Terramycin in the food) and monitor all the fish closely for any signs of a bacterial infection like pop-eye, ulcers, swollen body.

If the fish is really valuable, I would send a swob for testing to enable you to decide which anti-biotics to use.

Often a strong dosages of salt rectifies the problem if it not an advanced stage of infection.
