| Personally I still prefer the Shade Sail - it is not harsh on the eye...... also there is very little to the installation - no welding over the water....... just drill a few holes, hammer in the rawl bolts and the worst is a bit of dust in the pond....
Even powder coating rusts over time..... and then what?
Bobby your house is modern.... so I would keep to the modern look... |

| I will also not advise covering the whole pond. Put a umbrella type thing in the front as you have in the back. Just cover 1/4 - 1/2 of your pond. Julie you are right, bobby is a very modern guy...alles is glas en "minimalised" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I don't like the aluminum roof. It will darken and gets dirty over time and is hard to clean. Just a thought. I see two sides of the pond wall (outer walls) could bake in the sun. I know the walls are thick but from past experience I know cement and bricks hold the heat, could this not be a factor in the water heating up? The plants you have put there will help protect them from the sun in the near future. your pic.. hope its okay to post again. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thanks Stumble If I could only get this positive feedback and experience from suppliers. The one exuse after the other to come and quote, one company really started to interigate me to make sure that I am able to afford his product. Malmesbury is 55Km from Cape Town and business is very reluctant to provide a service. I am sure they are all up to their eyballs in work. I have come accustomed to business taking me at face value and I enoy the challenge. Well, I will have to leave now or I will be late for our monthly Koi meeting at the Dros. See you there WCKC |

| Hi All A very so-so day has turned into a very cool day when the Koi in my new pond started to ask for food this morning. It looks like my pond is finally kicking in and I had to stop myself from enjoying to see them eating after the 4th time this morning. Well, it is a bit cooler and water temp down to 24.1C. I hope this will continue and be the start of my new pond to settle in! All along they looked healthy and the water stats ok, but they did not want to feed. This is the best therapy I could have received today and is very grateful to my babies. |

| Haai Bobby
Sterkte vorentoe. |

| I tend to walk away, get involved and course major water level problems when re-filling my pond, it fills very fast and this should be possitive but this LG knows how to turn good into bad. So this morning I had an auto re-fill system installed that the maximum and minimum levels can be set to the nearest cm or mm if needed. The probe was installed through the cover of the skimmer and all tests done had a 100% result. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Sounds like the Western Cape is starting to become like the Eastern Cape.... Down here in PE you have to beg people to take your money. It seems like people have enough money and don't need more. People just don't seem to care about new business. I don't know what I missed because I was left out of that loop. |

| My frustration to get my pond shaded lives on. I received one quote for R14K telling me that others are rubbish, but he does not include detail of his products and demands 70% deposit and a contract that can put a Nedbank contract to shame. The second quote also 4 days late for R28K. This is for a cantilever, similar to my back pond, but due to the positioning of ther swinging arm all the shade will be on my lawn. This morning I received a full quote with pictures for R8.5k on sails. The only problem this company did not take the trouble to visit my premises, or call me, after my mail brief to them was that the aesthetics is very important to me. Only 2 of the 7 companies I contacted off their Web Site picked up a phone and called me. This shade industry must be making a packet |

| The installation of the door today made my pond now legal re the specs's as per local authorities building requirements. The shade cover is still a nightmare. I was promised new Cantilever design on Monday. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
