Hi Fellow Keepers
I contacted SAKKS National to get a ruling on the Judging debate seen on this forum in various posts.
Firstly any one Selling Koi for a living is deemed not eligible for the judging course as this could affect judgment.
In the case of Phillip Muller he had to resign as a ZNA judge when he started to become a Koi Dealer and is only assisting SAKKS at smaller shows on request from SAKKS National. The fact of the matter is that Philip no longer has the status of and ZNA judge and is only assisting.
Secondly, any one that sells Koi products and is not a Dealer in Koi will be allowed to do the Judging course and will be eligible to become a ZNA judge.
Therefore Larry Hubbard is allowed to remain as a ZNA judge with the provision he is not allowed to deal in Koi.
This may or may not be acceptable to all the keepers but this is the policy of SAKKS National and I personally see the issue now in a different light. I attended the Bosberaad in 2009 and can confirm that Phillip Muller was not part of the Judges meeting.
