| I would say in this order:
1. Effectiveness of filters; 2. Correct size of filtration in relation to your pond volume and stock density; 3. Regular cleaning of filters and pond; 3. Enough oxygen; 4. Quality and quantity of food; 5. Quality and quantity of water additions; |

| Hi Paul, Thanks for that. I would say I have got 4 out of the 5 . I think the problem is insufficient filter size. I have moved the UV light before the biofilter as discussed.I backwash once a week and do water change at the same time aswell. When you say clean the pond what are you refering to? |

Removing sludge and leaves accumulating at the bottom should your bottom drains not operate well enough or are insufficient and cleaning of the surface should you have no skimmer or it does not work well enough. |

| Hi Paul, I Have got a skimmer And the bottom drain is clean and clear of debris. It boils down to the filter size. I will be installing that 100 litre drum as a free flow Thanks once again. |

| Hi Wayne,
There are only three things in property - position, position, position.
In pond keeping there are three things - flow rates, flow rates, flow rates.
Regards, Chris |
