Creepy Crawly Empty
PostSubject: Creepy Crawly   Creepy Crawly EmptyWed Aug 20, 2008 9:57 am

One of my ponds is a swimming pool that I converted into a pond. I have only one bottom drain on the side and the bottom has no slope. I therefore I have to vacuum the pond from time to time to clean the bottom.

I was just wondering, why not put a creepy on from time to time. How would that affect the fish. Will it stress them out too much? I am running a high presssure .75 pool pump, good enough to run a creepy. There are no small fish that can be sucked in.

What is your opinion?

When we were hobbyists we tried this.

The fish hate the creepy - I think it is the constant knocking sound it makes.

The creepy and sandfilter clogs up very quickly - within hours.

Not the best idea.
