Hi everyone

I'm new to the for to the keeping of kois.
I'm from durban.
I have been reading up a lot on kois, filtration etc. But
I would like advice for the guys that have been through it all.
I'm planning on building a concrete pond and having it sealed,
Problem is I want a bottom drain but I'm not sure ire is a DIY for it
Or if I need to buy one? I'm looking at an oval shaped pond
About 1.8 - 2M length 1 - 1.2M width and have a depth of 0.6 sloping
Into a depth of 1.2Ming fancy just for a few koi.
Could you guys advise me on how big my bottom drain needs to be. How big of a filtration system would I need. Want to do a settlement chamber too. Thanx guys

The best is to buy one. DIY bottom drains almost always leaks. Some people just buy a gulley from the hardware store. I have used it before with success , but the best is to spend R 450 and get the proper one with a dome that can be adjusted to prevent fish from getting sucked in.
