Vortex filters Empty
PostSubject: Vortex filters   Vortex filters EmptyMon Oct 14, 2013 8:06 am

Hi all

I got some ducks and geese a few months back which are great on the pond. I did manage to get rid of the geese though, they were just too destructive.

The little ducks are having a good time. They are however still stirring up the pond and I get a lot of stuff clogging up my skimmer basket and pump filter.

I am looking for a vortex filter that could assist with removing the sticks, leaves, algea clumps etc.
Sandton Aquatics used to manufacture them, but as far as i know, they closed down.... Anyone else make these?

Also, I'm looking for a DIY protein skimmer solution. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks
