Hi Guys
As most of you know our newly found chapter kicked of this year. Most of us are still novice koi keepers and need lots of help getting this thing going. We will have our first show this year on 3 -5 May and hope to make this a successful event. Judging will be done by Harry Beckx who volunteered to be our head judge and then we are waiting for confirmation from Willie Geldenhuys. Benching will be done by Phillip Muller and I will assist him. Phillip Muller will also help with running the show for the first time to make sure every thing will happen as they should. As I started the chapter, 90% of the funding for the chapter and show come from my pocket at this stage. As a new chapter we would like to ask for any help or donations that you guys might give. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to the Southern Cape Chapter for borrowing us 10 show vats and for the people that got involved so far mentioned above. We still need about 10 vats and hope to find some soon. So PLEASE guys any help will do. We hope to fill 20 vats, for bookings please phone me on 084 304 9314.

Had a meeting this morning with the guys from CC Prints of Jeffreys Bay and they said they will sponsor our banner for the show. The owner also plan to build a large pond, hope the show will convince them to join the chapter. Thank You CC Prints.

A hobbyist photographer, John Swanevelder, offered his services for the event and are becoming a member of SAKKS to Thank you John.

Andre le Roux from East London just phoned me and told me he will also be visiting our show and offered his services to be part of the team. He will help out with netting, bowling or scribing. Thank you Anrdre, we really appreciate your help. Nice to see there is some members from other chapters that are still willing to help.

@vossie - Very true vossie, that's why I do my very best, if it turn out a success, then I know me and my guys did something good for the hobby. If it turn out bad, we all had a laugh and I know we tried our best. In the end its all about passion and free will. Nobody in our chapter have fancy show koi but we all want to give it a go. Even if the Baby Grand Champion turn out to be a little salt and pepper pet shop fish.

Sorry I was a bit off the forum for some time, but I was very very busy with a lot of things on my hands. Mainly the Koi Show and our recycle business that burned down to the ground same time as the show. I will update this thread tonight and over the weekend.
