Nice net pattern and fairly clean head. Lots of development to come. Good potential.

Good luck with the grow and show.

I like the white clean head. That is a plus.
The scales are a bit dark but they look very good at this stage. Give us a photo from the side, i would like to see where the beni (red) is on the flanks.

I* also got my asagi from James Oya Koi farm...but had no idea how to chose...just grabbed the first I could catch...Now I know a bit more since I researched it...but my water is too green to see it in the QT.
But will catch it soon and show U...
This competition is supposed to be for fun! For all to enjoy...I dont understand why some people refused to let Albi participate...it is a shame for me...

That is excellent, the beni is not high up at all. With time Asagis get darker, spotty and the red flares up on the sides. So the lighter you can get them and the lower the beni is on the sides the better.

yours looks very good, nice to see how the hi looks on this one....suspect this is also male

Nice long body, the hi is dark red and prominent, and the head is really very nice and clean and big

The scales are also cleaning up nicely and are well proportioned......I reckon this will end up a very decent asagi
