The South African Koi Keepers Society - Kouga Chapter, will have its first meeting on Saturday 28-07-2012. Any Koi hobbyist or enthusiast can come and part take in this meeting, We will be electing a Chairman, Vice chairman, Treasurer, Show chairman and a Secretary. Registering of new members to S.A.K.K.S will also be done. A few other topics will also be on the agenda. During the meeting we will have a nice " Bring and Braai" Hope to see you all there!! Hi Paul.
This Chapter will be small - Humansdorp, Jeffreys bay, St Francis bay, Port Elizabeth, Hankey, Pattensie, Joubertina, Kareedow, Uitenhage and Despatch. We decided to start a chapter here because its far for us to travel to either of the chapters to be active and involve with all the events, activities and meetings. Its 450km to East London and almost 400 km to George. Now to drive all that way just for a meeting or a pond Safari is not a nice idea with every day financial needs. So this reason make it pointless to join SAKKS for a lot of people. So Chris Neaves discussed it with the national committee at there previous meeting and they gave us the green light. So we are grabbing the opportunity with open arms and we all hope it will be a active and successful chapter.

I have 7 members to our Zambia koi and pond club...he he he!

We had our first meeting yesterday and the guys still came despite the bad weather, some couldn't come due to work but made excuse and will be present for our first pond safari just before August month end. The meeting went well, the guys are very enthusiastic and fired up for the new journey. Some even had other people interested in joining before they came to the meeting themselves yesterday and took the necessary paper work with them. Unfortunately these people couldn't be there due to short notice. Hope to see them all at next meeting.
