| Hi all, please comment on my soragoi. I think its a male, but still has a nice body. Bought it from wild coast koi in east london. Its around 45cm in length. - Attachments

I like it...Just a question...is the head yellowish brown? It might be from chagoi spawn, sibling of ochibas...if it is... Ochiba has the tendency to become darker with age...U never know might turn into one... |

| it is from an ochiba spawning, its ochiba markings come and go. Last year it develooped a very strange pattern where all the scales on its side, but not on top, developed a brown spot in the centre, then after a while it lost those markings. |

| I have a younger one from the same breeder, possibly same parents that I bought I bought for 10 bucks at the EL show, it was an ochiba, but tiny, thought I'd see how it turned out, it also turned into a soragoi, but not bad for the price! And this cheapie has turned out to be my most tame and calm koi, even tamer than my bigger older fish. - Attachments

The chipie...has a nice body shape...And yes...soragoi are very tame Koi... Your first soragoi...might still become an ochiba... |
