| Kobus, love this fish, this and my no1 kohaku are my favourites at the moment!
neli, my understanding of a traditional showa is where the sumi and hi in in proportion to each other where shiroji is minimal.
Lots of sumi and hi and not too much shiroji
Almost like a hi showa but with shiroji surfacing on the top
I just love this fish the more I look at it! |

| Thanks, I did not realize that is what is called traditional showa...I think it feels very powerful body wise, large mouth, and will grow big... though I prefer kindai (girls thing) i like the way the sumi is distributed on this showa... Looks pretty, and ballanced...I am actually surprised that I like it...First traditional showa that I like...Mine are mostly Kindai... I will post them soon so U tell me what U think but just pictures in the pond...dont want to stress them now...I wanted pretty fish...not so much show quality...That is what makes me happy. Started digging the new pond...and U guys are not helping me to tell me if my plans are OK...I did them all by my self...can U check them please? |

| Feels a bit short (the head looks big) but other than that looks good to me. Think the colours on this koi are going to be stunning.

| Nice Showa with a good body. I personally prefer a Kindai Showa but that is my personal choice. I think you have done some good shopping, pic's are not good and does the fish no justice. |

| Cliff Stunning Showa, first thing I look at when I'm choosing a showa is the Hi pattern.I always look at it as if its a kohaku. The Sumi comes later. She a beaut enjoy |
