There was an article in my local area news paper about the water in my area. Apparently there are lots of organics in the water. People have been complaining about the smell and taste. The water contains something called Geosmin and MIB (2-Methyl-iso-Borneol). The council has been trying to clean the water with activated carbon.

How does one measure organics in water? I wonder how long this has been going on cause i have been battling with high levels of NO3 Nitrate for atl east 2 months.
