Hi Guys,

I bought this little guy last week, im not expecting it to me a fantastic fish but i really dont know if its ok good or bad. Please can you give me some comments on the ogon and if you dont ind try to ellaborate a little bit so i can learn from the comments.

Im still very new in the koi hobby and would like to learn as much as possible. Here he/she is:

There is something wrong with this fish, I think it has some internal problems, the body is far to bloated for sush a small koi.
Where did you buy it from ?

Thanks for the reply i was also concerned about the body size after i bought it, it was from a pet shop i.e why i thought it wouldn't be a good fish. WI have noticed that the fish tends to sit at the bottom of the pond and does not swim around as much as the other koi I have. Could something be wrong with its swim bladder?

I did give them a call today but there was no awnser. I would just like to know if the cheaper fish they sell still come sfrom a good bloodline? I would prefer to grow the koi from about 5cm to se how they develop and so forth.

This is possibly a fish from last year's spawn and never grew because it was probably kept in a fish tank or small container. Then you often get bloated fish like this one.

This is a low quality Ogon with very little metallic and will probably become dirty as time goes by.
