Hi All

Our Judges did a good job under adverse conditions without complaining. The WCKC would like to thank Chief Judge Larry Hubbard, Jim Phillips, Brian Welsh, Raj Lalloo and Trainee Judges Willie Geldenhuis, Maria-Anna and Ronny Botha and Hannes Uys.

I would also like to thank WCKC members that attented our meetings the past year and contributing to the show planning. Paul and Rezanne Viljoen, Heidi and Wayne Barker, Eugen Binedel, Christie van Zyl, Craig Corby and Quinton Jones.

A special thanks to Craig and Christie for the many hours in the actual setting up of the show, also to my personal assistant Buddy, I would have been lost without your help.

The show would not be possible without our Exhibitors Koi Online, Sakura Koi Farm, Cape Koi Aquarium, Clinofish, Waterlinx, Aquanutro, Koi Concepts and Snack a Tack, Thanks to all of you.

Many others WCKC SAKKS members and suppliers too many to mention played a valuable role to enable us hobbyist to have a platform to show our Koi. Thanks to you all

My thanks to Willowbridge Mall for giving us the space ,water and electricity for the week-end.

Lastly the show is remembers for the visitors and it was wonderful to see all our guest attending when the weather cleared especially our two colourful Koi hobbyist from the other side of the mountain, Neville and Pieter.

Neville it was lovely to meet you and your son. Pieter it was an honour to have you and your wife visit our show. You guys have to also visit outside the show period so we can share more koi chats. At least Neville could experience first hand that I have no place to install a SF

To all our 2010 WCKC Exhibitors

Clinofish, AquaNutro, Waterlinx, Koi Concepts, Cape Koi Aquarium, Koi Online and Sakura Koi farm.

On behalf of the WCKC I want to thank each of you that took the time and effort to exhibit your products at our Koi Show.

I can assure you that in many conversations since the show your business name was mentioned and I sincerely hope that you will enjoy a long term benefit for your decision to join our 2010 show event.

Many of you made donations to members in one form or another and you also donated products to the auction at our braai evening. Maybe I should add that the small profit we carry over to next year is derived from the donations at our auction. This seems to be the trend throughout all the Koi Shows, that the auction revenue normally make or break the chapter’s bank balance.

Although we spend R 15,000 on marketing the venue, the unforeseen rain Saturday morning had a slight negative effect, but we were doing much better on Sunday.

I know that some of the Clinofish members made a special trip from Gauteng to join us in the Cape and so did Mark and Costa from Sakura, we appreciate your participation at our Cape Town show.

That’s not to say that our local exhibitors is less important without all of you this would not have been a success.

Congratulations to Marltons for winning the Exhibitors award, you will have to defend this next year. 

Thank you, from all the WCKC hobbyist.
Bobby Matthee
