Airlift compression chamber DIY by the Panic mechanic
Finally I managed to find something that I can adapt for airlift compression chamber...
I used a pan connector, that had a lip inside...and I grinded with a drill the inside lip so that the 4 " pipe can pass.
I got a socket for 1/2" pipe and grinded it to make it 5mm long...and made two of those...Used rubber and glue as washers...and connected it to the threaded 1/2 " , one outside and one inside..to hold the pipe in place...Forgot to say I drilled a hole in the pan connector...
got a short peace of pipe and connected the two pan connectors, facing each other...the pipe can not pass through the pan connector, but after some grinding it went 1/2" inside...I will glue it later...
The pipe inside I will make cuts with an axle blade so the air can be distributed inside...
Dont look at the rubber inside...I will cut it off.
Any advise will be appreciated...Testing this afternoon.
Dont want to use airstones...they clog...
This will be on the second pipe of my BD and will flush it twice a day on timer...
Might put some as returns too if I see they work well.

I do not have any experience with air lifts and also wish to experiment as soon as I have time.

Should it be viable and even remotely as efficient as some claims, I will introduce an airlift on each pond on the farm, especially because I already have powerfull blowers.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks Admin...
I did the tests today...the water coming out of the 4" pipe is more than from my 750W spek pump...
It looks good. What do U think?

Hi Neli, it looks impressive. I would like to see how you practically applies the pump to your system.
