1 What can these black marks be?? It is a cheap Kohaku that grew from about 25cm to >60cm but had these marks for a while now.

2 Will the light orange come more out in the future?

The black spots looks like shimmies to me, they will get darker later.

Your second question, no I don't think so it will stay as is or disappear completely.
You are correct it is not a quality fish.

from what I have seen and heard......Sumi will always come and go.....however Hi if it goes you will never get it back......I have been bullsh!tted by a dealer or 2 when looking at a fish saying the red\orange will come up as the fish gets bigger, this is when seeing the pinkish areas around the Hi area, this is not the ever the case....sumi yes...Hi\Beni....No

Like I said, this is from what I have experienced, would actually like to know if anyone has ever had a fish where the Hi has come up.....or gone and come up...........anyone????
