I got fed up with pellets ending up in skimmer, so I decided to build a floating feeding ring made from left over 50mm pvc pipes and 90* bends. Looks rather ugly in the pond but is working great

Very practical and neatly done Marius.
Another option is 20 mm black irrigation pipe in a circle. A bit cheaper and maybe blends in a bit better.

Watch the 90 degree joints - koi sometimes get scratches on the noses with this type of feeder ring - have gone to the circular route instead, and now position the food and hold it with current Q

I like that idea. I'm also tired of having to close the valve for the skimmer every time I need to feed. its a hassle, and with the currents the food ends up all over the place.

I think the black piping will look far better. I might hide a big part of mine under the bridge and hopefully still be able to view Koi during feeding

I made a small feeding ring for my QT as well. Cost me nothing since I used off cut pieces of plastic and bends
