| Hi, in my one pond I have koi and goldfish and now I discovered some babies swimming around and now I don't have a clue what it is lol. can anyone help identify it ? Is it koi or goldfish? I read that koi and goldfish can even interbreed, is this true,if so what is the result? thanks I have some pics of the babies: they are now 2-4cm     |

| If they have barbels, they are koi. Sometimes difficult to see from a photo like in this instance.
They can breed with each other, and the offspring are sterile. |

| Have bred both koi and goldfish - Paul is right - barbels the only way to tell, also koi mouth points downward - goldfish upward. These look like goldfish - but I wouldnt bet my house on it!! |
