| Just a reminder this is Wayne asking WayneB with the 16 point purchase schedule, don't spare the horses let him have it. His collection is so private, this could well be his complete collection. |

Hierdie vissie was R25. Volgens my is hierdie 'n pragtige klien koitjie met baie potentiaal. Soos bobby se "dont spare the horses" Wayne

| Head going a little yellow which given the first pic seems to be developing? Stop with the colour enhancer. Potential is there - if you can extract it you might have a very nice little Koi. I like the excellent motoguru and the sumi on the head/eye area. |

| Thanks for the comment William. As you see i have been begging for comments but no one expect you so far has given any objective critique.
Yes i noticed that the yellow head got a bit darker (if i look at the photos), it is a concern. I am concerned that it is yellow pigmentation and not the normal yellow colour one usually gets on shiro utsuri. This last photo is also a bit darker than the first so i am not sure if that is creating the impression of a darker head. Lots of maybes riht now. Im not using any Colour Enhancer but the koi might be eating algea.
I also like the head pattern, especially the one black eye with the strike through over the head.
Thanks again for you comments. I plan to track this little kois development very closely. |

| Wayne - I on the other hand think that this is not all bad if it is not all there yet. The strength of the sumi says that it will hav nice black down the line. i am not too worried about yellow head - this can clean up - have personally seen kohaku and utsuri with yellow gills go white with age - unless male of course. Love the pecs! Hold onto the fish until 40cm - I have just had an absolute dog turn into a stunner. It si a far easier job to crit hi on a small fish than it is sumi. |

| Hi all - here is an example - Aug 2008 vs Jan 2010. The fish was almost black when I got it, and has improved a lot since the Jan photo. Apologies the pics are not the best but you get the idea. |

| Wayne about 42cm and the pic doesnt do it justice. I noticed that some of the black went grey and thats when the pattern started shaping, almost within 6 months there was significant change - seems the grey either dissapears and becomes white or darkens and merges with the rest of the pattern |

| Ok im 2 days behind my usual update on this shiro utsuri. Its current length is 29cm. Thats a 7.5cm growth from last month and a total growth of 10cm since i got it 2 months ago. The sumi has come out a bit more but its white is a bit yacky....this lttle koi now needs the winter to sort its pigmentation out. The head is more creamy than yelow but again the photos are to dark. I seem to be loosing my touch with the photos as the photos are coming out to dark...not sure why yet. This koi is now getting to big for the small blue bowl so i will need to photograph it in the big blue from next month on which will affect the blue of the photos. There are also some visible veins from stress showing in the photo.

| ok, i think i found my problem. The camera was setup -2.3 for exposure compensation and not on 0.0 as in the first picture...i hope that is what is making the pictures darker. Im going to take another photo tomorrow.
Lee the white and the black will both improof in the winter time. This is a horrible photo.
Bodyshape...The kois belly is also huge due to the heavy feeding and its affecting its body shape slightly but its not a bad body shape in a permanent way. I starved the kois for the last 10 days so far because they fed so heavily this season. One of my kohakus have a huge hump. So i decided to cut the feeding back a bit so that their bodies can catch up. |
