Please give me your honest opinion on this koi, good or no good

Its difficult to say as Utsuris develop with time...what you see is not always what you get. Theres alot of black underlying that still need to surface.

How old what size?

Size 41cm ,age just on 2 years

I can say one thing. I think this is going to be a very dark traditional type of shiro utsuri as it has lots of underlying black.

The shiro (white) on the body looks good but im not sure how much white is going to be left in a year or two from now.

The sumi (black) seems to be good quality solid black, thats if i look at the black on the nose, tail and righthand side. The ginrin makes it difficult to judge the rest of the sumi. The spotty sumi parts is an inidcation that this koi is still developing and black is emerging and moving around. Shiro Utsuris usually gain more black with age...they dont loose it. The black should finish in the following order...tail, head, shoulders.

Ginrin...about this topic i dont know much and it would be better if somone else commentes about the bling, bling.

Pattern, i dont think its going to have the best pattern but as i said earlier its difficult to say. I think 70% of the head is going to turn black with time.

Give it another year and re-evaluted but i think its going to become very black with time.

Omdat dit 'n Gin Rin Koi is, kyk jy na dit en nie na die gewone " pattern" van Shiro Utsurimono nie.
Dit Gin lyk goed en kan net verbeter wanneer die wit en swart beter word.
Die bou van die vis lyk ook goed, maar die kop van die Koi kom 'n biedjie "vuil" voor.
As die vis se ouderdom in ag geneem word glo ek nie die kop sal "skoner" word nie. Jy mag ook met 'n swart kop op eindig.
Sal graag die vordering wil sien, so hou ons ophoogte asb.

Dankie Pieter, daar leer ek nou ook weer iets. Ek het nie bling, bling in my dam nie.

Op 3de pic lyk dit of daar fout is met body line - lyk of die lyf 'n 'flat spot' het?
