Bottled bacteria Empty
PostSubject: Bottled bacteria   Bottled bacteria EmptyTue Feb 09, 2010 12:55 pm

Hi, I have used some of these "bottled bacteria" products in the past. Some are liquids and others are dry tablets?

Can someone please explain how it works? Is it really bacteria in these formats or is it only "food" that will attract a certain bacteria and therefor start the bacteria to settle?

You get bacteria products to start up the nitrification process in the filters and you get bacteria products that will eat the sludge off the pond floor. I not sure if there are more types but those are the once i can think of.

I think this should be an intresting topic.
