I bought this fish approximately 2 months ago from Loolilocks, as a guinea pig to put in the pond. Price was more than R100, classified as AAA. I liked it so much, that I put it in the Portapool and put another one in- that died.

I still struggle with the classification, but I think it could be a doitsu ?kujaku.

Your opinion and should I have used it as a guinea pig?

Hi David

It was a mix of both.

The 1st one was my own- 30cm, but not nice. At D1 was lying on his side, we took him out, put him in the portapool and he died.

The 2nd one was the one in this post- decided not to put him in, so I took one of my own- died (a young Kumonryo from Collin).

3rd one bought at King Koi- died within 24 hours.

Bought another one from King Koi (10 cm), put him in with my own Bekko. The Kink Koi one died, but the Bekko survived. Then I gradually added the other.

I also bought 4 fish from King Koi a while ago and I posted of my experience.

2 Tanchos, 1 Utsuri and 1 Sanke.

The Sanke died the first night in my pond, all the other fish are fine. No idea what happened.

Few months later in my father-in-laws pond the bigger Tancho died as well from something in his water along with a few other fish.

Maybe the Koi from King Koi are sensitive fish Smile

Well, the reason why my first fish died was definitively as a result of the salt level, even the 2nd one. Did not think it might be the supplier with sensitive fish??????

Maybe their pond water is so awesome that the fish are used to it or something..
