| Hi,
I agree with Jaco, it looks like a Doitsu Bronze Ogon, and its a good pond fish. |

| Hi Goldielocks,
There is not such a thing as a Ghost Koi!
It is a name used by Magnoy Koi Farm in Israel, in Japan it will be classified under Kawarimono. |

| Kawarimono is a broad classification used for a wide variety of non metallic koi that don't fit into other classes. Some examples are breeds of their own, while others display "one-of-a-kind" color and patterning. Furthermore, certain koi are placed in Kawarimono because they deviate so much from the judging criteria applied to what would typically be their own variety. |

| Hi, I would suggest looking in the Hikarimono class.
Hikarimono = single coloured metallic koi.
Then add the Doitsu scales -
Then look at the gold. (kin) -
And there is some black in there. (matsuba)
So perhaps a doitsu kin matsuba - what do you think?
Jaco what is the koi in the third picture you posted? Blue, Red and Black ...... very interesting fish.
Regards, Chris |

| Kawarimono (変わり者 ?) A "catch-all" term for koi that cannot be put into one of the other categories. This is a competition category (you cannot buy a "kawarigoi" from a pet shop) and many new varieties of koi compete against each other within this one category. Also known as kawarigoi (変わり鯉 ?)[citation needed] |
