Very good growth considering the stock density. Suppose you used quite a lot of live food, eg daphnia etc. How many times did you cull so far. Kujaku, Ogon, Hariwake spawning?

Sorry I should have mentioned they are grown in a mudpond in my yard, I have two mudponds at home and I live in town.
Talk about koikichi Shocked

They were from a Hariwaki Kujaku spawn

Thanks Collin,

I bought the net from Alnet 14 x 80m and paid R 2400 if I remember correctly.

Jaco, your kois are stunning - the local bred kois from ammateur breeders in the cape does not come close to that.

What do you think of these?
Pics taken right after they came from the mud pond so the Hi looks thin.

Jaco, the quality looks excellent...must be honest that to me, from a buyers prospective i can't see much of a difference between those and imported tosai.

Thanks Wayne,
My dream is to win Supreme Grand Champion with one of my own bred fish.
I will post some pictures again after this next season and you will see how the red thickened.
