| Hi Bobby
Your pond looks truly amazing so far, im sure you koi are going to absolutely love it in there.
I do have some questions though.
Are you going to cover the filter house or you gonna leave it open ?
Is then maintenance required (media needs to flushed annual or anything like that) for those awesome trickle towers, cause it could prove interesting ?
I really love how the pond is actually part of the house.
Cheers Lee |

The walls are quite high and the open roof does not really bother me, my live in Manager though want's me to close it, will take pic later to show you and make the call once everyting is completed. Adding some big valves and skimmer to Pod connections this afternoon. - LJ042 wrote:

I am told the towers needs no maintenace, the bottom section about 120mm of the tank is below the 110mm gravity outlet, therefore any shite will gather in this area. You will see on my filter wall a 50mm valve that eventually runs to my filter pit. To open this valve once a month and drain for 2-3 minutes will be all that is needed. I am told that I will never have to open towers again. The correct equipment for a LG don't you think. |

That filter room is going to be Bobby's next playroom. Lot of toys in there. He is going to open and close all those valves every day and look at all the water flowing from system to system for at least a month. Bobby, jy het nog net 'n yskas nodig in die filter kamer vir koue bier en 'n laptop om die forum te lees. As Karen jou uitskop het jy darem 'n heenkome. |

Cheers, Lee |

| Hi Haggers A simple paint job x 2 layers, my manager will do the painting and yours truly the mixing and cleaning equipment. I have to try and do something. You are going to break the bank to hire these 2 contracters I am told marbliene can be painted over marbe-lite, glass-fibre, old painted pools, and most applications to seal a swimming pool, even on unplastered walls, will have to wait and see. Two components at a ratio of 2:1 a powder blend of ceramics and marble plus an inique fluid resin compound. Am I tying to convince myself? |

Am I tying to convince myself? Sounds like it, hahahaha ok, so I should be able to do it myself mmmmm Are you doing any surface preparation? I am told by some pool contractors that you should not 'paint' the plastered walls for 3 weeks? |

| How can you guys in the Cape organise a 'little cruise' so far in advance? I see you had to RSVP by the 9th....anticipate 5m swells and gale force south westerleys!!! As long as you can keep your glass upright all should be OK. Enjoy Bobby..you deserve a day off from the pond building. |

| Hi Jack, We might have slight setbacks on the rugby field but the WeePee can organise a Pi....up with great success What is worrying me is that my builder insisted on doing some final finishes today, I only hope that by the time a get back late tonight I will be able to breath normally without blowing gasket. My top has been skimmed very thin the past six weeks. |

| Hi Bobby,
Another question, see on that site that a bag of marbleine covers 45sq meters, and that it's about R850 a bag, how many bags would you need to use on your pond.
I busy planning a new pond of around 30 000lts and would like to use this next, do you just paint it on as a thick paste....how exactly does one apply this product?
Dankie |

Hi Cliff
Check the site - it explains how to apply it. Seems like you need to mix the paint yourself and then apply two coats after preparing the surface.
