Ok ek is nou hier!

It's a constant and grinding battle with builders and finishes as per normal, but we will get there, 14days max to water.

Dankie Paul

NS. Ek verkoop geen Koi of Koi produkte nie, dit is vir my slegs 'n stokpertjie, dit is my strewe om alle betroubare handelaars te ondersteun wat ons stokpertjie positief benader en help om ons SAKKS ledetal te laat groei. Hoe meer lede hoe meer Koi vreugde.

Whilst waiting for pond to dry some outside work, the white is very white and is in need of some sealant to take away the white shine.

At last after more than 20 calls I found a very good water base sealer for cladding that the tile manufacturer is also happy with. A product from Tile and Floor Care named Invisible Sealer. R 472.00 for a 5L at Brights. Dankie OooooM Pieter.

To get product advice via a phone line please spare yourself the frustration by not phoning Builders Warehouse.

Bobby

1. Jou raam moet 316 vlekvrye hoekyster wees. My een is (2.2x750x60) Pricy

Seeing no one want to share their views with me Rolling Eyes let me talk to myself and and feel sorry for myself on my own Embarassed
It is going to be a stressful week to fit it all in this week as builders have a way of their own that does not necessary fit in with your plans.
1. Need for builders to complete stairs and face cladding by Tuesday.
2. I need to do same more pipework, sealing and painting by Tuesday
3. I have a business do on Wednesday at sea ex Table Bay harbour.
4. Thursday more work and preparation on pond in the morning.
5. Friday @ Saturday a big do at my shop as this will be the last 2 days of my 10th year birthday special at my store that started 01 Nov.
6. Saturday afternoon fitting pond glass with Koi friends?
7. Sunday pond safari, although I feel we are not going to make this happen.

I think it will be a good idea if I go and make a start, its very difficult for a LG but it has to be done! bounce

A while ago I looked in to having a special security gate installed and since the build got closer to completion I inquired about a glass pivot door that will be more pleasing to the eye. I need to make good the front property view and not only consider my Koi pond.

Paul you ask for prices and my quote for glass pivot door came to R 14 000 (standard 1.2m width)
I do not really have a choice but now they are not even sure to supply me before Xmas.

Bobby

Hi Marius

Vervaardige is Dendrafen, Aqua silicone dikker as gewone waterdigtheids silicone.

Hi Bobby

Excellent thread - been following it daily:) I am excited to see the finished product as I am sure you are.

Just a basic quick question - what sand did you use in the plastering? Philippi or another/lime sand mix?

Thanks

Hi Haggers

I am not sure, I was told by Eugen father (Eugen is on this forum) that the Malmesbury sand is very good for plastering. Plastering done a week ago and I still do not see any cracks whatsoever.

I used the a finer more yellow plastering sand mixed with 30% of our normal building sand. I added 2.5 Kg of Coprox per bag of cement and believe this helped for a smooth and solid finish, at least that is what I hope for. cheers

Haggers are you from the Cape? cheers

Hi Bobby

Yes I am from the Slaapstad, Kuils River to be exact:)

RE: Malmesbury, I thought Philippi was the best plaster sand in the cape although I know that Malmesbary is more expensive ...

What are you refering to when you say "yellow plastesing sand" and "normal building sand"? which one is lime and which one is malmesbury (I think)?

Haggers small world, my mother and sister stays in K-river, I visit weekly.
As far as I know and have been told that the lime is not good for pond plastering, have to confirm this with Eugen.

You must pm me your details and come to visit me in the Swartland
