Dankie Bobby. Johnathan se dam gaan so 600 000 liter wees.

Hi Bobby
I am following this topic with great anticipation and been comparing you design on page one with the actual progress. Now I have some questions, pardon if you have already addressed this matter;
1 Please explain the water flow through your filter system, the number and position of returns etc.
2 Furthermore who supplied your Nexus equipment?
Thanks
Jan

No problem Jan. Three lines and 3 small pumps all gravity fed

Line 1
110mm Bottom drain to Nexus 300 return with a 1200 waterfall pump to pond via 50mm mid-water return. also 4 small 32mm above water returns.

Line 2
110mm Bottom drain to EA Pod, 1200 pump via 55 quarts UV up to trickle tower and gravity fed back to pond with 90mm pipe just on and below water level on the right.

Line 3
110mm pipe from skimmer to EA Pod, 1200 pump via 55 quarts UV up to trickle tower and gravity fed back to pond with 90mm pipe just on and below water level on the left turning water anti-clockwise.

Today I had the last wall in filter completed with a new team.

I use the Prostruck 617ns ( advise from the SF man, thanks Pieter) and sealed the window frame before plastering that will take place the next two days, first the filter bay and then the pond.

After the plaster I will seal all the pipe work and window frame again with this product a second time, before I add the Marbeliene

I will also add Coprox a waterproof cement additive to the plaster mix @ 2.5Kg box per bag of cement (50kg bag)

The cladding tile expert phoned to say he will be on site tomorrow and not as planned next week.

At least I should have my garage back in 2 days. At one stage today we had 16 workers between tilers in the house, brick layers and plaster men and woman, tomorrow could now be 18 or 19 with the cladding team. All this means is that I have cement replacing the dust in the house and my pond will be completed sooner.

Serious Question to all the Keepers out there!
Above pond wall was completed today with cladding, this will allow rain to drop into the pond from 3 sides. I need to seal this cladding against the elements.
Which product and brand sealant can I use that will not affect pond water and ultimate the Koi health?

The back wall (plastered) next to tree will get stone cladding tomorrow, the rest including flower box will be covered with face brick.

My question re cladding sealer.
Lets say I use a normal stone sealer and then spray the silicone on that one normally seal face bricks with, will this be effective to resolve the issue with pond water possibly being negatively effected.

Bobby
Ek het 'n jaar terug my dam klaar gemaak.

Dis gerustellend.

Twisted Evil Shame hy is seker nou al lekker moeg Embarassed

Ek trek vandag na onbekende dorp No
