Shawn, you requested me to send you particulars of the breeders and varieties of the fish you bought from me. See my comments in red.
10 Nana pic taken 28-02-2009 Doitsu Kujaku bred by Aoki. Might be a Kikokuryu, a variety first created/developed by Aoki. Fairly clean head (sought after when judging Kujaku) with good metallic shine. Not show quality but a very nice pond fish. Always good to have a metallic or two in your pond. 11 Zoro pic taken 20-08-2009 Goshiki bred by Hiroi (as the hi gets deeper and stronger at the back, the balance will improve, as it is currently a bit heavy in the front. The grey is going to get darker, creating a good contrast between very deep metallic like hi and dark backgound) Hiroi is without doubt the best Goshiki breeder in the world, and you can expect very good development with this one.
12 Yes pic taken 22-08-2009 Kohaku, can't remeber if you got it from me. Good menware and deep hi in the front but the hi on the body is breaking up and too little red. You might end up with only two hi patterns, the strong area on the head and the strong area on the left back side. 13 Sparkels pic taken 22-08-2009 Hi Utsuri bred by Hirasawa. The red will now start to develop this summer. No negative black speckles often associated with hi Utsuri. Too much black but this fish is still going to develop alot and too early to tell what it is going to do. It is like a showa, unpredictable. The Hi on Hirasawa Hi Utsuri's develops very deep and it is going to develop into a very nice fish with good contrast between pitch black(Laquer) and deep red.
Ginrin Kohaku bred by Aoki. As the fish grows, the balance between red and white will improve and be good when fully grown. Currently a bit heavy. The red could be a little bit more towards the nose (Menware - V shape between the eyes, but not necessarily a demerit) The Shiroji is excellent and the ginrin is very strong. Sought after transparent pectoral fins. This is a keeper. en 20-08-2009 Ginrin Ochiba Shigure bred by Yamazaki. Good balance between the silver and gold, the net pattern appears to be good, and no black coming through which often happens with Ochibas. Very good quality Ochiba with lots of potential.
16 Net pic taken 20-08-2009 Wagoi Ochiba Shigure, also bred by Yamazaki. Fair net pattern but black is coming through and might spoil the appearance. The head is a bit too brown to my liking, but is still going to be a striking fish when large.
17 King pic taken 20-08-2009 Doitsu Tancho Sanke bred by Aoki. Absolutely stunning to me and I should have kept it. Tancho's tend to loose it's hi, but on this one, the hi is extremely strong and deep and will stay. The Sumi will consolidate and this fish is going to to beautifull.
18 Paul pic taken 23-08-2009 Doitsu Ochiba Shigure bred by Hiroi (famous for their doitsu Ochibas) and difficult to get hold of them. Absolute stunner in my eyes. I kept it for myself but finally you pursuaded me to sell to you.
19 Paul pic taken 23-08-2009 Ginrin Kohaku bred by Sakai (Matsunosuke bloodline) Perfect in every sense. The shiroji does not get any better than this and should be seen in real life) Being a Matsunosuke bloodline kohaku bred by Sakai, you will soon have a champion. Kiwa is sharp, Sashi is as it should be at this age and indicates the right future development, balance is good, no hi in fins, good adome, body shape, etc etc. Bodyshape appeares to be not right, but this is a Matsunosuke bloodline trend to have broad shoulders at this age, indicating that this fish will grow very large.
