Mud ponds Empty
PostSubject: Mud ponds   Mud ponds EmptyTue Jun 30, 2009 8:39 pm

Hi everyone

I have been searching over the net to find the desired mud pond size for a breeding facility.

I am hoping someone can assist me with regards to finding out the ideal size for a Koi Breeding Mud Pond.

My intention is to build approx 20 fry breeding mud ponds as well as larger growing ponds in Cape Town. We will be using Japanese stock to breed with. Our aim is to grow these fish as fast as possible to optimum size.

Any information wit regards to this will be welcome.

Many thanks

Jonathan

I believe the bigger the better, although it should be manageable. If it is too large, you will have difficulties dragging the pond and putting nets over. Depth for fry, maximum 80 cm.
