| I see that the people on forum say that you must use 25kg salt per 50kg cement. To finish it off, I take a 5L ice-cream container and mix half salt and half cement with water and 'paint' it over the plaster. It gives a crinkle cut finish and then I paint if with black 'waterblok' paint. The small algae love to grow on the slightly uneven surface when your pond starts to settle. |

| Peter do you dissolve the salt before mixing then add to plaster mix? Ratio; 4, wheelbarrows sand. 1, bag cement. 1, 25kg salt. |

I just use the paint program available under accessories. You must dissolve the salt to prevent air pockets. I add water to my concrete mixer, then salt, let it run a while and then add the sand and cement(and I add sikalite) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Another very good Sika product for ponds is Cemflex but more expensive. | You just treat it as a normal image. I saved it in JPG format from whatever program I used, ftp it to my own webspace (or photobucket) and post the link on the forum. In my case, I add [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

1, bag cement. 1, 25kg salt. That's correct. When you mix the lot, make sure that the salt crystals dissolved before the plaster mix is applied Paul, I used Cemcrete products building my 55 500lt pond, and I am not impressed at all. |

I was talking about Cemflex, which is a product of Sika. Cemcrete is a total different product. |

| I would put the bottom drains about a quarter and 3 quarters up and then divide the pond into two where each is slopped towards each drain.. |

| Hi David
Looking good judging by your picture and sketch i am guessing you inner wall is only 10-cm then ? interesting the different ways you can build a pond, i have basically done the same although my inner walls are two bricks thick and were they go above the ground they will become three bricks thick. |

| Hi David
Thats looking good, just a question, is your settlement chamber in the middle, to the left of the filter in the last pic ??
I also assume the pipe sticking out is the skimmer to the settlement chamber ??
