| I have an Ogon that had the same marks on her. I thought it might be underlying ulcers but after a while they all started to turn white and then more white broke through. So if it's the same as what I had it's just discolouration taking place here. |

| Hi Joe,
If it looks like wax , it is carp pox, if not it could be Dermocystidium Koi

| Costia can also cause red/pink spots on the skin. If the spots are below the skin, shining through, it can indicate the start of a bacterial infection which might be followed by an ulcer.
I would first eliminate the possibility of costia causing the spots by doing a scrape.
It is unlikely that it is pox/papilloma developing now in view of the time of the year. |

| Hi
It is on top of the skin, but what concerns me is that its been now 3 months and it does not get worse or better .I am sure that if it was bacterial it would have ulcers already all the other koi are healthy |

| Hi Joe I had the same pinkish spots on my ogon a few months back it will clear up eventually. I would say it is pox and you can do nothing about it. look behind the head. It as all gone for now baybe it will come back in the winter. |
