I am curious to know. Lets say you have a male koi called X breeding with female variety called Y, producing a new variety called Z. Do you still need the X and Y fish to reproduce Z , or will the new variety produce there own babies of the same quality??

The chance of Z producing babies of the same quality is very slim, you would still need X and Y. Believe me, I have seen it for myself, very dissapointing if you already sold either X or Y. Sad
