Dear Koi enthusiast

There is a social event at the premises of Koi Online on Sunday, 16 September.

Free snacks, drinks and DVD's on Koi and koi food at cost plus 15%( just to cover petrol and basic extra costs.)

Japanese Koi will also be for sale and there will be a raffle on Japanese Tosai at R 250.00 a ticket.

Dear Joe

We prefer not to take cheques but we look at the amount and circumstances. We do fly fish to any major airport @ R 300 per box.

On a lighter side - I always take my significant other with me. That way I am never in trouble for over spending on the budget as it is always done "in consultation".

Dankie, ek sal julle www dophou. En seker maar die advies neem en die "significant other" saambring om nie te veel moeilik op die hals te haal nie. Ek is juis so lus vir mooi Japanese vis.

Hi, I'm there are 9:00 for a ticket. You did not say whether we will be allowed to buy more than one ticket but I guess we will have to give your other guests a chance as well. Do you have oxygen for their bagging?

Would definitely not sell Japanese fish without, see you then.

Thanks for all the support at the open day/social event. I think it was a huge success considering the positive feedback of all the purchasers. A lot of top quality koi found new homes. The Koi Society of the Western Cape Chapter was formally invited and we created an opportunity for the members to socialise, exchange ideas and buy Koi food and other items at cost.

We initiated the event in view of the fact that basically nothing has been organized by them since the new Chairman and new Committee took over, except the annual koi show. I am sad to say that despite this, they did not bother to attend apart from three individuals of the society. Probably why hobbyists do not want to join anymore. When you join, promises are made of social events, pond safari's and other exciting activities, but that does not really exist in the Cape Town area anymore, alternatively the members are not being informed of same. Don't know why we still promote the society on our web site and to our clients, but I trust that they were only hibernating during the winter and will warm up soon, as we need an active society.

Fortunately the hobby is still very active behind the scenes. Please visit our web site from time to time as we will continue to organize social events for the hobbyist. At the end of October we will have another social event at our premises and during the first week of December we will be dragging our mud dam in Wellington.

Thanx for the support and look after that stunning Kumonryu and Kikusui that you bought. Actually wanted to keep that Kumonryu for myself but you bought it just before I got too attached to it.

Thanks for a great day on Sunday, fun was had by all. Next time I'll be taking the clock away from my better but slight untimely half and get there a tad earlier. Thanks again.

Hey, by all means take your time in getting to Paul's with the next open day. It gives us more time to buy the good ones.

It is the end of October - I have not noticed anything on the site re another open day.

Sorry, it has been postponed to the beginning of December and the drag of our mud dam to March 2008 with a possible gathering inbetween.
