Well I couldn't take it. Even thou spawning is around the corner and hopefully I'll have more babies than I can deal with. I just couldn't take that the Blue Heron got my fish and I went and brought some more.

Very cute fish! Well done! I have seen the Japanese put the wire much higher above the ponds...and I think a bit more of it.

I am going to put a little more line around the pond, even thou it really annoys me. I figure, it's so bad now, what difference would it make. But I can't put it any higher, My Husband Jimmy, would probably let me know I've gone too far. Fish line running thru the yard from tree to tree. I would have to agree with him. lol.

I guess heron's have to live too. NOT. And guess what, Jimmy informs me he saw a Racoon by the pond the other nigth. I guess after 7 years this pond has attracted wild kingdom.

The other day I came out and there were a flock of doves sunning on the side of the pond. I scared them, they scared me because of course they took off like a bat out of hell when I unknowingly came up on them.

The BIGGEST mistake we made when building the pond was that bog area and the three 18 Inch platforms we put in for the water plants and easy access. Easy for us and the heron.

I could look at it like this, If it wasn't for that heron I wouldnt have the enjoyment
of purchasing new koi. Before the heron found us I hadn't brought a koi in 3 years.
